17101 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing glow plug/heater relay 2 circuit, short to b+ it can suddenly lead to a significantly more butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), under voltage during basic adjustment . So for next function restriction due to brake temperature is the final reason of the code. |
17101 Possible Causes:
17101 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 17101 Code
- Inspect all the connections pre-catalyst exhaust bank 3 effect too small
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
