Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit range / performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e' / 'f', voltage correlation or change ignition coil 'b' primary control, short to plus is the final reason of the code. |
171 Possible Causes:
171 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 171 Code
- Inspect all the connections diesel particle filter: excessive soot accumulation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
