17098 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 2, circuit intermittent / erratic mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic and wait then ignition coil 'c' primary control, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
17098 Possible Causes:
17098 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 17098 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'e', minimum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
