Diagnosing engine bar with secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 2, circuit low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system minimum throttle position, not learned you can see the linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / pump current, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
17040 Possible Causes:
17040 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 17040 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, internal resistance too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
