Diagnosing engine bar with valve for pump - jet, cylinder 3 (n242), electrical malfunction mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit range / performance . So for next injector control pressure sensor, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
17031 Possible Causes:
17031 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 17031 Code
- Inspect all the connections mil request signal active (check for tcm errors too!)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
