The problem is about exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to b+ run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit low or intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit range / performance will delay your vw fault. |
17020 Possible Causes:
17020 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 17020 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit low bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
