17006 Description And Summary :

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition coil 'i' secondary circuit, malfunction mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor bank 2, cam shaft position sensor, discharge opening (g301), interruption / short-circuit to pluses . So for next please check dtc memory of all wheel drive ecu is the final reason of the code.

17006 Possible Causes:

17006 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
  • Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
  • O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
  • Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
  • Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses

What To Check After Fixing 17006 Code

  • Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, short to b+
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
