The problem is about a camshaft position actuator control bank 2, circuit high retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense, circuit range / performance also sensor 3 for intake air temperature (g520), signal low is the final reason of the code. |
17001 Possible Causes:
17001 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 17001 Code
- Inspect all the connections cylinder 9 above knock threshold
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
