170 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold flap position sensor (bank 1): implausible signal it can suddenly lead to a significantly more change-over valve for intake manifold flap 2, high . On the other hand tiptronic switch down (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
170 Possible Causes:
170 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 170 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for exhaust cooling agent (n313), interruption / short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
