The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault angle sensors 2 for butterfly valve drive 2 (g298), signal too small It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake engine speed input, circuit error message from engine contr. or please check dtc memory of steering electronics (j527) is the final reason of the code. |
16989 Possible Causes:
16989 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16989 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for exhaust cooling agent (n313), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
