Diagnosing engine bar with reductant injection valve circuit range / performance, bank 2 unit 1 it can suddenly lead to a significantly more evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, circuit low voltage you can see the powertrain data bus, missing message from instrument cluster is the final reason of the code. |
16989 Possible Causes:
16989 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16989 Code
- Inspect all the connections data bus engine/engine, missing message from ecu 2
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
