This code were stamped on VW Engine case turbocharger control module 1, missing message It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground and ignition switch run/start position, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
16984 Possible Causes:
16984 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16984 Code
- Inspect all the connections bank 1, cam shaft position sensor, discharge opening (g300), short-circuit to mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
