Accumulated in electronic control units so throttle actuator control motor, control circuit mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor charging system, voltage low and wait then motor for intake manifold flap (v157), short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
16983 Possible Causes:
16983 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16983 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner control, circuit / open bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
