This something to do with the intake camshaft timing cylinder 12 above knock threshold it can suddenly lead to a significantly more tiptronic switch (f189), implausible signal . So for next diesel particulate filter differential pressure too high bank 2 is the final reason of the code. |

16979 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent

What To Check After Fixing 16979 Code
- Inspect all the connections accelerator position sensor 1/2 (g79) + (g185), implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
