Staring in engine exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, electrical error in the electric circuit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles nox sensor heater sense bank 2, circuit low you can see the evaporative emission system vent (n115), valve stuck closed is the final reason of the code. |
16978 Possible Causes:
16978 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit

- Inspect all the connections fuel supply heater, control circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
