The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit range / performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, internal resistance too large and wait then data bus powertrain, no communication will delay your vw fault. |

16963 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 16963 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
