The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles performance malfunction in cooling system and wait then exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 1, circuit intermittent is the final reason of the code. |
16960 Possible Causes:
16960 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders

What To Check After Fixing 16960 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor negative current control bank 1 sensor 1, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
