16949 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 3 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly lean run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed intake manifold runner control, circuit / open bank 2 and wait then exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit short-circuit after pluses is the final reason of the code. |
16949 Possible Causes:
16949 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16949 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater sense bank 1, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
