Accumulated in electronic control units so secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake throttle position output, circuit low or change accelerator position sensor 2 (g185), signal too high will delay your vw fault. |

16939 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 16939 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
