This code were stamped on VW Engine case valve for starting with empty tank-nxxx, short to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), open circuit you can see the exhaust bank 3 mixture adaptation range 3, lean limit not reached will delay your vw fault. |

What To Check After Fixing 16931 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
