The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit high It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake air leak between maf and throttle body and wait then charge pressure fan relay (j712), short to ground+ is the final reason of the code. |
16888 Possible Causes:
16888 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 16888 Code
- Inspect all the connections vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
