Diagnosing engine bar with exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit low run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 2, biased / stuck rich also secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
16887 Possible Causes:
16887 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16887 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
