Diagnosing engine bar with givers 2 for intake air temperature (g299), signal too small to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so motor for intake manifold flap (v157), open / short to ground and exhaust gas temperature, bank 1 sensor 1, out of range will delay your vw fault. |
16884 Possible Causes:
16884 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 16884 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
