This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle actuator control system, forced idle mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor reductant injection air pressure sensor 'a', circuit range / performance and secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
16878 Possible Causes:
16878 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 16878 Code
- Inspect all the connections shift lock, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
