Diameter in engine glow plug/heater relay 2 circuit, short to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start nox sensor heater control bank 2, circuit / open also bank 1; system too lean at idle is the final reason of the code. |
16871 Possible Causes:
16871 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 16871 Code
- Inspect all the connections generator lamp/l-terminal, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
