Staring in engine exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle position (tp) sensor (g79), error message from ecm and outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), open to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
16862 Possible Causes:
16862 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16862 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel mixture control adjustment range 1, lower limit not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
