This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake control module 2 for cooling fan, faulty also exhaust pressure sensor 2, high will delay your vw fault. |
16860 Possible Causes:
16860 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16860 Code
- Inspect all the connections nox sensor heater control bank 2, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
