The problem is about secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system hydraulic pressure sensor 1, range / performance you can see the secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
16850 Possible Causes:
16850 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 16850 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor reference voltage bank 1 sensor 1, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
