Staring in engine linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit high or potentiometer 2 for egr (g466), incorrect basic setting will delay your vw fault. |
16850 Possible Causes:
16850 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16850 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), signal high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
