Staring in engine throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd', circuit range / performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 3 oxygen sensor correction behind catalyst, lean control limit exceeded and wait then injector cylinder 15 (n392), circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
16850 Possible Causes:
16850 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 16850 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, voltage too low or air leak
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
