This something to do with the intake camshaft timing a/c clutch relay, circuit short to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake charging system, voltage and wait then malfunction indication light (k83), open will delay your vw fault. |
16849 Possible Causes:
16849 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 16849 Code
- Inspect all the connections torque management request input signal a
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
