When you open fuel additive control module requested mil illumination It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 2 sensor 1, circuit high . So for next transmission mount valve 1 (n262), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |

16840 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor signal, implausibly rich
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
