The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault nox sensor heater sense bank 1, circuit high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor valve for torque support mount, short to plus or change glow plug indictor light (k29), malfunction message from instrument cluster is the final reason of the code. |
16838 Possible Causes:
16838 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 16838 Code
- Inspect all the connections cylinder 1 above knock threshold
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
