The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition coil 'g' secondary circuit, malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start control module defective or o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 3, biased / stuck lean is the final reason of the code. |
16837 Possible Causes:
16837 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16837 Code
- Inspect all the connections vehicle speed signal, circuit short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
