This something to do with the intake camshaft timing cylinder 5 above knock threshold It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake internal control module, driver error and valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), regulation range exceeded will delay your vw fault. |
16837 Possible Causes:
16837 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 16837 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'k' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
