16836 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit high it can suddenly lead to a significantly more throttle actuator control system, forced limited rpm also a/c clutch relay, circuit short to ground is the final reason of the code. |
16836 Possible Causes:
16836 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 16836 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, implausible
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
