The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault butterfly valve control unit 2 (j544), of mechanical errors retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start hydraulic pressure sensor 2, range / performance . On the other hand intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck closed is the final reason of the code. |

16829 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16829 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for pump, fuel cooling (j445), interruption/short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
