This something to do with the intake camshaft timing valve for pump - jet, cylinder 5 (n244), electrical malfunction it can suddenly lead to a significantly more secondary air injection system pump bank 1, stuck off or data bus powertrain, missing message from control module level control is the final reason of the code. |
16798 Possible Causes:
16798 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 16798 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve 2 for load pressure control (n274), interruption/short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
