The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault powertrain data bus, missing message from steering wheel electronics retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel rail sensor (g401), short to ground or exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit high is the final reason of the code. |

16761 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction

- Inspect all the connections reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 2, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
