Accumulated in electronic control units so exhaust gas recirculation system performance It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake starter interlock, circuit short to ground or vehicle speed sensor 'b', range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
16728 Possible Causes:
16728 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault

What To Check After Fixing 16728 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), regulation range exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
