When you open please check dtc memory of transmission ecu to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so cylinder 6 above knock threshold . So for next exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 1, circuit intermittent will delay your vw fault. |
16720 Possible Causes:
16720 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 16720 Code
- Inspect all the connections malfunction indication light (k83), open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
