The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault sensor 2 for hydraulic pressure in transmission, open or short to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake tiptronic switch down (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ and exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |

16717 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16717 Code
- Inspect all the connections supply voltage for fuel injector group b, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
