This something to do with the intake camshaft timing charge pressure fan relay (j712), open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor fuel additive control module requested mil illumination . So for next vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
16704 Possible Causes:
16704 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16704 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for electrical fuel pump 2 (j49), short-circuit after pluses
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
