167 Description And Summary : |

Accumulated in electronic control units so tiptronic switch up (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle actuator control system, sudden high air flow detected and exhaust gas recirculation system performance will delay your vw fault. |
167 Possible Causes:
167 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 167 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of abs control module
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
