The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start nox sensor heater control bank 2, circuit high also wheel speed signal 2, range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
16681 Possible Causes:
16681 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 16681 Code
- Inspect all the connections hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), electrical malfunction in circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
