This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold runner control: open stop outside of valid range mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, circuit and wait then electronic control module incorrect coding will delay your vw fault. |
16640 Possible Causes:
16640 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 16640 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck closed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
