This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data bus powertrain, missing messages from steering wheel electronics (j527) or change exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, voltage too low will delay your vw fault. |

What To Check After Fixing 16629 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
