Diagnosing engine bar with generator shut-off, short to b+ to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so transmission solenoid power relay, short to ground and wait then tiptronic switch down (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
16609 Possible Causes:
16609 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16609 Code
- Inspect all the connections glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
