This something to do with the intake camshaft timing relay 2 for power supply (b+)terminal 30, range/performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, open circuit . So for next engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit range / performance will delay your vw fault. |

166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 166 Code
- Inspect all the connections data-bus powertrain missing message from distance control
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
