16586 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing engine torque reduction, fault causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system charge pressure fan relay (j712), short to ground+ also data-bus powertrain, missing message from engine controller (ecu) is the final reason of the code. |
16586 Possible Causes:
16586 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Reverse Input Circuit
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16586 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
