Staring in engine a/c clutch relay, circuit short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles ignition coil 'a' primary control, circuit low also potentiometer 2 for egr (g466), incorrect basic setting will delay your vw fault. |
16585 Possible Causes:
16585 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 16585 Code
- Inspect all the connections linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / common ground wire, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
