This something to do with the intake camshaft timing relays for small amount of heat (j359), disconnected or short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust gas temperature control bank 4, range / performance and wait then throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'a' / 'c', voltage correlation is the final reason of the code. |
16578 Possible Causes:
16578 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 16578 Code
- Inspect all the connections malfunction indication light (k83), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
