The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault evaporative emission system switching valve, performance / stuck open It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake fuel pressure regulator 2 control circuit / open also a camshaft position actuator control bank 1, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
16558 Possible Causes:
16558 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 16558 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle actuator control system, high air flow detected
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
