This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust gas temperature control bank 3, range / performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, implausible also fuel level sensor 2, performance is the final reason of the code. |
16551 Possible Causes:
16551 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 16551 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant degassing valve, control circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
